Castle Grayskull the Sorceress tells Man-At-Arms and Prince Adam
of a vision she had involving Skeletor at the Ocean of Gnarl. Skeletor's
power was so vast in the Sorceress' vision that he plunged Eternia
into a new age of darkness. The Sorceress continues that she believes
Skeletor has learnt the secret of Anwat Gar. The Sorceress continues
that the Legacy Stones are ancient artifacts of great power, still
believed to be hidden in the citadel on Anwat Gar. Traversing the
Ocean of Gnarl on their War Whale ships He-Man and Man-At-Arms discuss
Anwat Gar. Man-At-Arms tells He-Man that Anwat Gar's weaponry was
legendary. He-Man and Man-At-Arms notice large waves originating
from the island. Man-At-Arms is knocked from his War Whale and falls
deep into the ocean, but He-Man dives in and saves him from drowning.
He-Man and Man-At-Arms overcome some of the island's obstacles before
they stand before the citadel of Anwat Gar, home to the Legacy Stones.
Standing outside the citadel He-Man and Man-At-Arms are confronted
by two large statues, which they manage to defeat. As He-Man and
Man-At-Arms approach the citadel a being appears introducing himself
as Sy-Klone, protector of the Legacy Stones. He-Man and Man-At-Arms
attempt to explain that they have no quarrel with Sy-Klone, but
Sy-Klone attacks them with little hesitation. During one of Sy-Klone's
attacks Man-At-Arms is injured. As Sy-Klone continues his attack
He-Man rushes towards Sy-Klone and knocks him from his feet. Sy-Klone
uses his full power to throw He-Man far from the citadel, but He-Man
retaliates and manages to defeat Sy-Klone. As He-Man attempts to
tell Sy-Klone that his duty is misdirected, Skeletor and Beast Man
appear above them on the roof of the citadel now possessing the
Legacy Stones. Skeletor uses his Havoc Staff to knock Sy-Klone from
the sky, injuring him. Skeletor then activates one of the Legacy
Stones, granting him the power of Anwat Gar, donning him in samurai-like
armor. Skeletor blasts He-Man, then leaps across Anwat Gar towards
Castle Grayskull. Beast Man attempts to use the other Legacy Stone,
but forgets the spell. He-Man knocks down Beast Man and activates
the power of the Legacy Stone granting him the same power as Skeletor.
He-Man pursues Skeletor leaping after him. As an injured Man-At-Arms
walks away from the temple Beast Man confronts him. Meanwhile He-Man
and Skeletor come face-to-face and engage in amazing physical combat,
powered by the Legacy Stones. Beast Man continues to follow Man-At-Arms,
tracking his scent. Man-At-Arms tricks Beast Man into tripping a
floor panel, which activates more of the island's defenses. He-Man
and Skeletor stand off as Skeletor states that the Legacy armor
makes them both invincible and that neither of them can win. He-Man
agreeing with Skeletor removes his helmet and the power of the Legacy
Stone vanishes. An overconfident Skeletor holds He-Man against a
rock, allowing He-Man to remove Skeletor's helmet with ease. Skeletor
loses the power of the Legacy Stone, and escapes with Beast Man.
Back at the citadel He-Man tells Man-At-Arms that Skeletor escaped.
Sy-Klone appears and thanks He-Man for preventing the Legacy Stones
from falling into evil hands. Believing they pose too great a danger
He-Man destroys the Legacy Stones. Sy-Klone believing that his duty
and purpose is over tells He-Man that it is time for the last defender
of Anwat Gar to rest. He-Man places his hand on Sy-Klone's shoulder
disagreeing, and a short while later at the Royal Palace the Masters
welcome Sy-Klone to their ranks.
is standing outside Castle Grayskull- He-Man: "Doing your duty is important. But
there's more to it than just following orders. The most important
duty of all is to do what's right. Until next time."
