to the Royal Palace are being watched by King Randor and Queen Marlena,
and by the Evil Warriors via a Doomseeker. Back at the Royal Palace
Orko approaches Man-At-Arms wishing to help in the repairs. Orko
notices the Masters trying to raise a statue and casts a spell,
making the statue levitate into the skies. Man-At-Arms ordering
Orko to stop the spell grabs the Trollan's hands breaking the spell.
The large statue falls, and topples, striking the next statue, in
a bizarre domino effect. Orko leaves in shame. At Snake Mountain
Skeletor tells the Evil Warriors of the Ram Stone. Evil-Lyn informs
Skeletor that a being called the Faceless One guards the Ram Stone.
Skeletor states that with Beast Man and Trapjaw's help, Evil-Lyn
should have no problem defeating the being, as a downhearted Orko
arrives at Castle Grayskull, wishing to speak to the Sorceress.
Mekaneck witnesses the villains making their way to Zalesia, and
immediately contacts Man-At-Arms. At Castle Grayskull Orko tells
the Sorceress that he was hoping that she could send him back to
Trolla. The Sorceress tells Orko that it will take time, and so
beckons him to enter the library. In the library Orko meets an old
man, who claims that Orko is famous in the "Book of Yesterdays,"
a book that charts all of the important events in Eternia's history.
Orko notices that the book notes the day when he first arrived on
Eternia, landing in the Tar Swamp, saving Prince Adam and Cringer.
At the Temple of the Ram Stone the Faceless One strikes down Beast
Man and Trapjaw, but Evil-Lyn blasts the Faceless One through the
walls of the temple. As Evil-Lyn leaves the temple He-Man, Battle
Cat and Man-At-Arms arrive. Evil-Lyn casts a spell that creates
a sandstorm, enabling her to escape on a Terrordactyl. He-Man and
Battle Cat leave for Castle Grayskull as Man-At-Arms prepares to
battle Beast Man and Trapjaw. At Castle Grayskull's library Orko
continues to examine the book, where he sees another day in his
life. The old man tells Orko that he always finds a way to help
when his friends need it most. The old man senses evil and leaves.
Outside Castle Grayskull Evil-Lyn hands the Ram Stone to Skeletor,
just as the old man approaches the Sorceress' throne, revealing
himself to be the Sorceress. Just as Skeletor prepares to use the
Ram Stone He-Man and Battle Cat appear. Battle Cat is injured by
the Ram Stone, as He-Man marches toward Skeletor. He-Man uses his
sword to deflect a huge blast from the Ram Stone. The blast begins
to penetrate He-Man himself, and without warning he is transformed
back into Prince Adam, and thrown far away. The Sorceress leaves
to aid He-Man, just as Skeletor uses the Ram Stone to penetrate
the protective shield that surrounds Castle Grayskull. Prince Adam
regains consciousness. Orko confronts Skeletor in an attempt to
delay the villain; allowing Adam to transform into He-Man. Unknown
to Skeletor Evil-Lyn manages to retrieve the Ram Stone. He-Man punches
Skeletor far from Castle Grayskull. Skeletor escapes on a Terrordactyl,
as Battle Cat reappears unharmed. The Sorceress states that Orko
should be proud of saving Castle Grayskull, and that it will be
a proud memory for him to take back to Trolla. He-Man is surprised
at Orko's wish to journey back to Trolla, but Orko states that he
has changed his mind. At Snake Mountain Skeletor rants and raves
as Evil-Lyn smiles to herself. Back at the Temple of the Ram Stone
the Faceless One recovering from his battle with the Evil Warriors,
notices that the Ram Stone has been returned. The Faceless One remarks
to himself that there may be hope yet for Evil-Lyn, his daughter.
transforms a flower into a dragon and turns to Ram Man- Orko: "Ta da! And that's how you make a stone
dragon. Everybody makes mistakes, but your friends appreciate you
for who you are, even when you mess up." Ram Man: "Uh, Orko. You sure that dragon's
made out of stone?" Orko: "Uh Oh! -The dragon breathes fire and pursues Orko around the courtyard- Orko: "See you next time! I hope."
One of my favorite episodes. I liked many aspects of it but most notable is the strategic placing of the only Adam-to-He-Man transformation sequence. When He-Man is beaten back to Adam by the Ram Stone, and all seems lost, Adam gets up only when Orko is threatened. Adam then proceeds to change to He-Man to rescue his friend. This placement has a much more dramatic effect than in other episodes.
